Getting the Best Results
- Use good lighting when taking photos of ingredients
- Place ingredients on a contrasting background
- Raw, uncooked ingredients work best for detection
- You can also upload photos from your gallery or type in a recipe name directly
Delete Your Account
- Go to Menu > Settings > Account
- Tap "Delete Account"
- Confirm deletion (this cannot be undone)
- Cancel your subscription separately in App Store / Google Play

How do I cancel my subscription?
On iOS: Settings > Your Name > Subscriptions > Snapshot Recipes > Cancel. On Android: Google Play Store > Menu > Subscriptions > Snapshot Recipes > Cancel.
How does the free trial work?
When you subscribe to the Monthly plan, you get your first month completely free. You won't be charged until the trial period ends. You can cancel anytime during the trial without being charged. The Annual plan does not include a free trial.
How do I restore my purchases?
Tap "Restore Purchases" on the subscription screen. Make sure you're signed in with the same Apple ID or Google account used for the original purchase.
Why isn't the app detecting my ingredients?
Ensure good lighting and place ingredients on a contrasting background. The AI works best with raw, uncooked ingredients clearly visible. Cooked dishes may have limited detection accuracy.
Can I use photos from my gallery?
Yes! You can take a new photo using your camera or select an existing photo from your gallery to analyze ingredients.
How do I change my dietary preferences?
Go to Menu > Settings > Dietary Preferences to update your dietary restrictions, allergies, and cuisine preferences at any time.
Are the nutrition facts accurate?
Nutrition information is provided by Edamam's nutrition database and is estimated based on standard serving sizes. Actual values may vary based on specific ingredients and preparation methods.
Is my data secure?
Yes. Your photos are only used for ingredient detection and are not stored permanently. Read our Privacy Policy for more details.
